I think everyone (or maybe just most people) require a level or relationship that god cannot provide...
i cant hang out with god... we cant shoot the proverbial shit... he has absolutely no flaws with which i can relate to. And as a guy once said "that which draws me closest to my friends is the failures we share".
So if god cant fulfill my need for friendship... well then... someone needs to... for me thats my wife... for others... i dunno...
